Toronto’s Phyllis (Fay) Gotlieb (1926-2003) was a Toronto poet, story writer, and novelist of Jewish-Canadian heritage. She was pioneered Canadian SF, writing the Starcats series and the feminist fantasy novel Birthstones (2007). Her poetry was published in The Works: Collected Poems (1978).
